10.1 Provide a means for the user to switch off motion, auto moving, or blinking content
Users with cognitive or reading disorders, as well as screen reader users, can struggle with content that moves or auto-updates if they do not have enough time to read it. Moving content can also be very distracting for some of our users and affect their ability to concentrate on other parts of the page.

Details
- Any moving, blinking or scrolling content that starts automatically and lasts more than 5 seconds can be paused, stopped, or hidden.
- Any auto-updating content that starts automatically can be paused, stopped, hidden, or the frequency of the update can be controled.
- If the movement, blinking, scrolling, or updating is essential to the activity it is exempt from this standard.
